I Grammy 2013 e il funerale del Pop

La cerimonia dei Grammy Awards 2013, arrivati alla 55esima edizione, ha evidenziato che l'alternative rock in questi anni sta prendendo piede nelle classifiche globali tanto quanto il rap e l'hip-hop hanno fatto nel decennio passato. I veri trionfatori della cerimonia di oggi sono le bande hipster dei FUN e Mumford&Sons e il cantautore australiano Gotye con Somebody that I used to know.

Il resto l'hanno preso Jay-Z e Kayne West, con diversi nomi grossi che sono rimasti a bocca asciutta: niente Taylor Swift e niente Calry Rae Japsen, che aveva dominato l'estate con la sua Call Me Maybe.

Ma anche niente Justin Bieber o Miley Cyrus, niente Lady GaGa o qualche vecchia gloria del pop come Jennifer Lopez o Britney Spears. Non che se ne sia sentita la mancanza, per una volta.

Giovani baffuti in pantaloni a sigaretta oppure rapper di colore ingioiellati come Crudelia DeMon. Così si vince nel 2013.

Sarà vero che il pop è morto?
